Flipping Random Numbers

While listening to an upbeat song a number is called out from the CD. We first line up the cards 0 thru 10. Mrs. Williams turns on the CD and we get ready to listen. The number is called and we flip over the number. They are not in order. If the number is called and it is already turned over then we flip it back again. We must use really good listening skills and know our numbers well to know how to flip when they get turned over. Since some friends can do this with ease Mrs. Williams gives special assignments to flip over one more or one less than the number being called. This makes it more challenging because you cannot even look over at a friends numbers to check if you got it correct because they might be on special assignment! Since the CD is calling out the numbers instead of Mrs. Williams she is able to observe what we are doing instead of being a number caller.
