About the Teacher

Welcome to your Kindergarten Experience at Carpenter Hill Elementary. I'm Mrs. Williams and I am very excited to teaching Kindergarten again after having another a great school year with 20 sweet students and families last year. Last year was a special year for me because I was not only will I be a Kindergarten Teacher I was also a Kindergarten Mommy. He will now be in 1st grade, but I've gotten to experience the excitement and uncertainty you will have with your child this year.  

This is my 17th year to be working in education. I came to Hays CISD in 2006 to work with teachers in their classrooms at Negley Elementary, Tobias Elementary and Hemphill Elementary by coaching them on ways to teach with technology for students to learn. 

Prior to coming to Hays CISD I substituted in Austin ISD (K-High School) and taught 1st grade and 2nd grade at Baranoff Elementary and Langford Elementary.

I am so happy to work in my community. I joined Carpenter Hill Elementary in 2011-2012 as the Technology Applications teacher with the Special Area Team. I loved working with our specials team and getting to see all students in the school, but really miss having my own classroom to teach which is why I'm thrilled to be a Kindergarten Teacher. Besides I'm a teacher that enjoys teaching students with technology, not one who wants to teach technology to students. 

I grew up and went to school in Pearland, TX then went to college in San Antonio at Our Lady of the Lake University where I studied Speech Language Pathology before becoming a certified teacher. 

When not teaching I spend time with my husband of 15 years Mr. Williams, our 6 year old son Lucien and our cat Holley. As a family we enjoy traveling near and far, spending time outside in our RV camping, golfing (they golf I drive the kart, but I'm learning), watching my son Go-Kart race, taking drives in the hill country or visiting with our friends and family. Holley likes to chase her tail and eat kitty treats.
