Letters, Words and Colors

Students have been working on recognizing the color words we have been learning this week. We've been signing songs, reading books and coloring with these colors. We've had fun with Pete the Cat books and his cool perspective on life. We've had discussions about how many vowels and consonants are found in color words too. For most this has been a new concept. Color charts have been created. Teachers stretch out sounds to write the objects students suggest are of the color. Students will be doing this soon as well to write words and soon sentences. Our first popcorn word "I" was introduced this week too.
