We decided to have a BYOD day on one of the last days of school. I sent an email to parents and the next day students arrived and enjoyed working and exploring their devices at school. Nothing is funnier than watching 6 year olds take selfies or video taping each other. Some found it fun to video me and provide commentary along the way.
We had Nooks, old phones, iTouch, iPad, Kindle Fire, DS, Samsung media player, LeapPads and Innotabs.
Two rules for the day (I have a really good class):
1. Stay seated while using your device.
2. Device goes back into backpacks when done.

A Craft Creation Station was also available for those without or not wanting to use devices any more. Also those without could ask a friend with a device to share.
Everything got back home without an issue. I look forward to doing this next year.
